Chapter 5:
Protection and the Pentacle of King Solomon
No army marches into battle or even sends an advance team of spies behind enemy lines without arming themselves with abundant protection. This is the view you need to take before you even consider inviting very real demonic powers into your life.
Even is your intention is not to attack or confront the evil spirit, you still must protect yourself. You are performing at the very least a spy of sorts breaching what can be called nothing less than an enemy line in order to gather intelligence and in some cases their âarmament,â as in when you wish to acquire their power. In preparation, you must take as many precautions as necessary to protect yourself.
Binding:
Spiritual Handcuffing
Binding a demon is an excellent and proven technique to do exactly this. While no act or combination of acts can provide a one hundred percent guarantee that you wonât come out of this event unscathed, it certainly increases your chances of survival.
As the name implies, binding is the act of placing limitation on the entity. Itâs the spiritual equivalent of handcuffing an individual to limit his movement. It often performed when a person seeks to talk to the entity dwelling inside another. It is also an excellent way to safely acquire dark entityâs powers for yourself.
Donât confuse the binding process with an actual exorcism. Binding doesnât cast any spirit out. It merely subdues him allowing you to speak with him or with the individual without the interference of the demon.
Binding can be a very simple act as simple as simply commanding in the name of Jesus that the demon become bound to the person in which heâs dwelling, to a specific location or even to a certain object.
However, thereâs also a short, but potent ritual that can be performed that actually facilitates the transfer of the demonâs power to you. This transfer of power is in effective a binding mechanism.
At its basic level, youâll be putting the demonâs power you desire down in written form, sealing it with his sigil and then . . . well, youâll see as you follow the instructions that follow.
The Steps That Bind:
Easy-to-Follow Instructions
First, collect the following items: a piece of absorbent paper or a strip of cloth, nontoxic ink (youâll discover exactly why momentarily), wine, tea or even a soft drink of your choice to use as a âritual drink,â and a wide but shallow bowl containing salt or some other edible seasoning.
At some point incorporate this short series of actions into your summoning ceremony. Using the ink and paper or cloth, write the powers you desire to acquire from this particular demon. If you wish you may even copy the sigil representing his powers.
Continue summoning the demon, then once he appears fold the paper or cloth along with his magical symbol. This binds the demon to you. But, this doesnât complete the rite. Thereâs still several more steps you must exercise.
You then totally immerse the paper or cloth into the shallow bowl of seasoning, ensuring that no part of the paper remains above the substance.
